Trumpet man, please play the taps...
Lawrence (Lj) Auker
Lj
Auker has quit the band due to his busy schedule and bad work hours. Therefore, we again need a bassist... If
you are in the Meadville, Cochranton, Seagertown area and want to be our bassist, give me a call at 337-2511 (ask for Jon).
We'll let you jam with us at a practice and see if you're in. Larry Caplinger
I hate to do
this, but I have to let Larry go. Larry has also been very busy... so busy in fact that he hasn't been to a single band
practice... seeing how long the band has been around, he should have been able to attend one. So Larry, if you see this
message, again, I'm sorry, but the band isn't getting anywhere. Now to the better news...
Pete
Drake
After talking to Peter Drake about the band, he offered to drum for the band. Let me first say
that Pete D. is amazing at the drums, he can pick a beat to anything. He is a great kid, he's just very fun to be around.
I don't know what else to say about this subject besides this will keep us back on our feet. Ethos Demo
to be recorded soon!
Ethos has been writing alot of music recently, by now we have enough to put together
a short demo disk. For more info, email me (Jon Blank) at tooemo4aguy@hotmail.com (updated: 8/23/04 by Jon)
HISTORY:
Ethos has a good bit of backround, regardless of how new the name may sound. It
all started on the last day of summer vacation in 2002. We were to be freshmen the next day, so we decided that we wanted
to have a bit of fun. Thus we decided that we'd do what all the cool kids do, start a band.
We were both
good fans of the genre of emo, so we formed a two-man acoustic emo band. Jon had even created a shirt and it was almost
sold. At that time, we had one gig... at a Christmas show at the Academy Theatre... that didn't go so well.
After months of doing nothing, Ethos broke up.
Ethos never expected to get back together, however in the fall of 2003, we
decided to form a full electric band and put Ethos behind us... Then a show came up (the show on the 8th), and we
decided to form what we just called "a side project" at the time. It was originally named The Shafer/Broderick
Team, but because the name was utterly stupid, we renamed... We renamed to Ethos, we started over.
